Acting Pathway

My Acting Workshop Pathway provides focused, pre-professional training for sixth forms, colleges, universities, and performing arts schools working with performers aged 16–21 who are serious about pursuing the industry.

Clients may choose from the following acting focuses:

  • Acting Through Song

  • Acting for Camera

  • Acting for Stage

Each workshop is structured to develop clarity of storytelling, strong objectives, truthful performance, and confident technique within a supportive and disciplined environment.

Acting Through Song

Two-Hour Intensive – £60

Structure:

  • Actors arrive vocally warmed up with a musical theatre song prepared

  • Text analysis: objectives, subtext, given circumstances

  • Speaking the song as a monologue

  • Singing work focused on emotional intention and storytelling

  • Individual feedback and refinement

Three-Hour Intensive (9:00–12:00 or 13:00–16:00) – £90

Includes all of the above plus:

  • Actors arrive vocally warmed up with a musical theatre song prepared, and sheet music

  • Text and character exploration

  • Speaking the song as a monologue and analysing

  • Sheet music analysis (phrasing, emotional peaks, action words, dynamics)

  • Vocal and performance refinement

  • Individual feedback and practical application

Full-Day Intensive (9:00–16:00) – £180

Morning:

  • Actors arrive vocally warmed up with two contrasting musical theatre songs and sheet music

  • Character and context deep dive

  • Objectives and super-objective work

  • Detailed text and musical analysis

  • Performance refinement

  • Individual feedback and development

Afternoon:

  • Cover the same basis with a contrasting musical theatre song

  • Actors choose a 32 bar cut of a song of their choice to use in an audition simulation

Acting For Camera

Two-Hour Intensive – £60

Structure:

  • Actors prepare a duologue in advance from either a TV show or movie

  • 15-minute focus and grounding warm up and meditation

  • Duologue work

  • Objectives and subtext exploration

  • Camera-specific techniques: subtlety, eye contact, listening and reacting

  • Individual feedback

Three-Hour Intensive (9:00–12:00 or 13:00–16:00) – £90

Includes all of the above plus:

  • Cold reading exercises

  • Given circumstances and reaction work

  • Optional recording and playback analysis

  • Group reflection and Q&A

Full-Day Intensive (9:00–16:00) – £180

Morning:

  • All of the above

  • Individual feedback

  • Recording duologues

Afternoon:

  • Analysing and feedback of duologues

  • How to take direction

  • Cold read practice

Acting For Stage

Two-Hour Intensive – £60

Structure:

  • Actors arrive with a monologue prepared from a play

  • 15-minute physical warm-up and focus meditation

  • Imagination and environment exercises

  • Core concepts: given circumstances, objectives, subtext, storytelling

  • Monologue work with feedback

Three-Hour Intensive (9:00–12:00 or 13:00–16:00) – £90

All of the above, plus:

  • Character work with prop integration

  • Beat and stakes development

  • Deeper monologue refinement

Full-Day Intensive (9:00–16:00) – £180

Morning:

  • Extended warm-up and character embodiment

  • Imagination work as the character

  • Environment exploration before performance

Afternoon:

  • Monologue refinement

  • Raising stakes and sharpening objectives

  • Detailed feedback and reflection
